Standard 1 promotes the need to routinely monitor employee mental health and wellbeing using available data.
Standard 6 recommends organisations:
Identify and track key measures for internal and external reporting, including through annual reports and accounts.
Measure organisational activity and impact using robust external frameworks, e.g. Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index.
Once you have measured the impact of the work you are doing, you can:
Identify areas of concern or improvement.
Evaluate the information on an ongoing basis to see if the work you are doing is effective or if more changes are required.
Obtain feedback and update the board/senior leaders with the information to ensure that they are aware of any concerns, challenges and your progress against the strategy.
Share the information with your organisation to keep them updated of progress.
Use the information to focus your time and efforts on areas that need support, and identify activities to further embed mental health.
